These were designed and built by Mitsuoka to establish itself as the 9th Japanese automaker. The Zero1 was styled after the Lotus Seven and features a custom designed and produced steel frame, aluminum bodywork, and a Mazda Miata-sourced 1.6-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Mazda supplied the entire powertrain along with all electronics, brakes, suspension This example is finished in Blue over a black interior and was featured in the Original Brochure, and equipment includes a removable blue soft top and side curtains, as well as air conditioning, 14″ alloy wheels, a Chrome roll bar, a factory MOMO steering wheel, and double-wishbone front suspension. This Zero1 now shows under 26k kilometers (~16k miles) The car is equipped with double-wishbone suspension and coilover springs up front, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs.
